Xerox Named Leader in Quocirca’s 2024 Print Security Market Landscape Report

Xerox has announced it has been named a Leader in Quocirca's 2024 Print Security Market Landscape Report. This annual report provides a snapshot of the positioning of vendors in the global print security market and recognizes the top print industry vendors that offer security solutions as part of their portfolios.

The report highlights the ongoing challenges organizations face in securing print infrastructure as they continue to adjust to a hybrid workplace. According to Quocirca, 67% of organizations have experienced data losses in the past 12 months due to unsecure printing practices, up from 61% in 2023.

"In a world where data breaches are on the rise, our clients are looking for solutions and services that adopt a zero trust approach, which assumes no device or user is trusted by default," said Terry Antinora, head of product and engineering, Xerox. "Xerox continues to invest in the latest security technologies and standards to protect our clients. Our comprehensive security features and services help ensure our clients' print infrastructures and data remain secure against evolving threats."

Quocirca commended the company for its deepening capabilities across device security, fleet management and content security. Also noted were advancements in certificate management, firmware management, vulnerability management, security monitoring and automated remediation.

According to the report, "Xerox particularly stands out for its strong legacy in the managed print services sector and expertise in delivering comprehensive security assessments. Its depth of capabilities across content security and workflow automation is among the strongest in the industry. It continues to enhance its Workflow Central content security offerings, which include new security apps such as the Protect workflow that use AI algorithms to protect and secure documents."

Xerox has adopted a multilayered security approach based on a set of zero trust principles to heighten security measures for all clients. This approach also makes it possible to interact with various security information and event management solutions enabling advanced analytics to integrate printer security into organizations' broader security systems. Xerox products, including the recently announced AltaLink 8200 series, adhere to a broad range of industry certifications.

Additionally, Xerox security capabilities extend to its cloud services, including Xerox Workplace Cloud, which enables secure print and fleet management. Xerox Capture and Content Services, which captures, validates and integrates data into essential business processes, aims to safeguard data throughout the digitalization process, with robust hardware and software infrastructure, stringent access controls, and adherence to industry standards and certifications.
