MPS Monitor Celebrates Continued Success With Platinum Rating & Pick Award From Keypoint Intelligence
MPS Monitor has announced its Platinum rating from Keypoint Intelligence. Based on testing conducted in Keypoint's United Kingdom lab, the evaluation includes a score of five-out-of-five across all report categories: Features and Productivity, Usability, IT Administration and Security, Support and Training, and Value. Thanks to this outstanding performance, MPS Monitor claimed its second Pick Award after also winning one in 2021.
Keypoint Intelligence has tested MPS Monitor three times since 2016. These evaluations, from an impartial source with a consultative approach, have led to multiple new features as well as updated versions of the MPS Monitor SaaS platform. While Keypoint has routinely praised the platform for its robust security, performance and user-friendly experience, this latest test has been the most comprehensive and in-depth, with those resulting perfect scores the proof of the solution's consistent evolution and growth over eight years.
"MPS Monitor excels in delivering a comprehensive solution to meet the varied needs of office equipment dealers and managed print service (MPS) providers," said Lee Davis, senior analyst, Workplace Group, Keypoint Intelligence. "The real strength of MPS Monitor lies in its ability to streamline the management of device fleets across multiple sites, thanks to its cloud architecture, all while providing reliable, trustworthy security. It empowers dealers and MPS providers to enhance efficiency and improve overall service quality."
Industry-Leading Security & Compliance
Keypoint Intelligence's analysis underlined MPS Monitor's excellence in security, a key focus in today's rapidly evolving MPS landscape. The platform's compliance with international standards such as ISO/IEC 27001, SOC2 Type 2 and CSA STAR Level 2 set a benchmark for security in the industry. This commitment to security is especially vital for SaaS monitoring and management solutions operating through a direct and permanent connection with customers' internal network resources and assets.
"MPS Monitor is currently the only cloud managed print services platform to earn scores of five-out-of-five in every category we evaluate in our hands-on testing," said Anthony Sci, president and CEO, Keypoint Intelligence. "Our cybersecurity testing, along with our analysis of third-party results provided by the company, show that the platform meets or exceeds best practices for a SaaS solution entrusted with customer information."
Key features of MPS Monitor's security framework include two-factor authentication, SSO integration, continuous security monitoring and independent auditing, software integrity through extensive and frequent Penetration Test and Code review activities. These measures ensure that print environments, networks and data are protected from evolving cyberthreats. The MPS Monitor DCA, used to collect and transmit device and usage data to the MPS Monitor cloud system, is subject to a rigorous and recurring cycle of Application Security Assessments, carried out by a cybersecurity consulting firm. This routine examination is performed before each new release of the DCA agent, to make sure that the version of DCA installed in customers (even after a self-update) does not introduce new and unexpected vulnerabilities nor additional risks in the target network.
Enhanced Fleet Management & Data-Driven Insights
Keypoint Intelligence's evaluation lauded MPS Monitor for its advanced fleet management capabilities, including remote monitoring, device management and comprehensive data analysis. With powerful tools like integration with Microsoft PowerBI, dealers are equipped to make smarter business decisions by visualizing and analyzing fleet data in real time.
PowerBI's dynamic reporting allows for real-time data visualization with customizable, preconfigured reports. MPS Monitor enhances consumables management and streamlines data export for invoicing and logistics, backed by extensive instructional resources. With the most recent updates, MPS Monitor has significantly improved its services, focusing on operational efficiency. Key upgrades include advanced HP Smart Device Services (SDS) tools, the introduction of DCA 4 for enhanced diagnostics, and new analytical features like the Supplies Intelligence Dashboard and Customer Contract Dashboard.
"Leveraging MPS Monitor isn't just about keeping devices running — it helps you make smarter business decisions, too," Davis said. "The platform's integration with Microsoft PowerBI turns fleet data into valuable insights, allowing print providers to identify where they can save on costs, what sales opportunities are available and new ways to serve their customers better."
"We are proud for the excellent rating achieved in the testing, and also deeply honored to receive the prestigious Pick Award from Keypoint Intelligence," said Nicola De Blasi, chief strategy officer, MPS Monitor. "This recognition is a testament to our unwavering commitment to innovation and excellence. It validates our efforts to provide best-in-class solutions for managed print services providers worldwide. We will continue to enhance our platform, empowering our partners to exceed customer expectations while ensuring the highest security and compliance to global standards and best practices in their service delivery. This award reinforces our dedication to driving the future of managed print services through innovation and reliability."
Creating Valuable Resources for Dealers & MPS Providers
Keypoint Intelligence is a renowned and independent voice in the print industry. MPS Monitor is a force with dealers and MPS providers. The tests as well as the ensuing conversations have resulted in the creation of insightful resources designed to help the channel and service providers in selecting SaaS platforms that deliver truly innovative, reliable and best-in-class features.
Besides the Solution report and the Pick Award article, Keypoint Intelligence also authored a white paper which highlights the critical need for MPS providers to adopt secure solutions and validates MPS Monitor's security posture as a reference for the whole industry.
The document reported: "MPS providers need to seek out software platforms ensuring proven end-to-end security for the entire print infrastructure. SaaS vendors that develop and provide MPS software platforms are required to demonstrate their security posture by providing proof of their security features, audit and testing activities, and certified compliance to recognized security standards and regulations. (…) In Keypoint Intelligence's analysis, MPS Monitor 2.0 has met these criteria, and the company itself has gone the extra mile to ensure it adheres to stringent security standards. The platform's overall security posture can be taken as an industry benchmark for the definition of a standard set of security requirements to select SaaS platforms for the Managed Print Services environment."
