Kyocera Proves High-Speed Cut Sheet Inkjet Production Print Leadership With Number-One Market Share
Kyocera Document Solutions America Inc. is delighted to share that it is a market leader in high-speed cut sheet inkjet production print, according to the latest quarterly data from IDC.
Kyocera commands a substantial 34.5% market share, making the inkjet manufacturer stand out as a pioneer in its market category. It is one of only two manufacturers whose performance has shown growth over the last four quarters total (2023 Q3 – 2024 Q2) in this space, achieving an overall growth of 5.3% versus the same period last year.
In the second quarter of 2024, the total production high-speed inkjet market experienced a decline of 25.5%, leading to an overall decline of 11.2% over the last four quarters total. Despite this market decline, Kyocera has shown resilient growth, underpinning its place as a major player in inkjet innovation.
This milestone underscores Kyocera's commitment to excellence in the printing industry. By consistently delivering high-quality, reliable and efficient printing solutions, Kyocera has earned the trust and loyalty of customers worldwide.
In fact, Kyocera's cut sheet inkjet press, the TASKalfa Pro 15000c, has been number one in the market for the last three quarters, significantly outweighing its major competitors in market share.
"The TASKalfa Pro 15000c is the undisputed king of the cut sheet inkjet market, consistently outperforming other commercial printers on the scene, and leading the charge on sustainable, efficient and reliable inkjet innovation in production print," said Dustin Graupman, senior director of the Inkjet Division, Kyocera.
Kyocera's TASKalfa Pro 15000c offers an affordable entry point into the commercial printing market to small and medium-sized businesses, providing a great ROI and low TCO. It is energy efficient and enjoys high uptime of over 90%. The press is capable of printing 146 images per minute both in black and white and in color with no slow down for duplex. Commercial printers have reported monthly outputs of over 1 million prints with the Pro. It generates excellent quality results, at 600-by-600 dpi or 600-by-1,200 dpi, and offers a wide range of media handling for diverse outputs.
"This information from IDC about Kyocera's number-one position in the high-speed cut sheet inkjet market confirms our vision of inkjet as a crucial pillar for business growth," said Oscar Sanchez, president and CEO, Kyocera Document Solutions America. "Our company has a proud heritage in inkjet going back 20 years to when we began innovating printheads that are now widely used across the market. Kyocera has always been and continues to be a visionary, passionate pioneer in inkjet technology, developing solutions to meet the changing needs of our customers. The data from IDC reflects Kyocera's dedication to meeting the evolving needs of the market and setting new standards in the commercial printing industry.
"We would like to thank our fantastic commercial printing team for their dedication to excellence and refusal to stand still when it comes to inkjet innovation," Sanchez continued. "At Kyocera, we wrestle in the center of the ring, and we will continue to shoot for the stars in the inkjet market and beyond."
