DocuWare has announced its acquisition of DocuScan.  

Headquartered in Erftstadt, near Cologne, Germany, DocuScan has been IT services provider in the field of digitization for more than 20 years. It has built its reputation by providing expert services and customized workflow automation solutions to medium-sized enterprises throughout Germany.

"When we heard of DocuScan's plan to sell, it quickly became clear that not only would an acquisition protect their employees and customers, but it would also allow us to merge their skills, experience and expertise with ours to lead the way in improving business efficiency and workflow automation," saids Dr. Michael Berger, president, DocuWare.

"There is great value in becoming part of DocuWare," said Michael Bochmann, who will remain managing director of DocuScan within DocuWare. DocuScan is wholly owned by DocuWare and will continue to operate as an independent entity within DocuWare.
