ConnectWise Brings Home the Gold in ChannelPro SMB Readers' Choice Awards
ConnectWise has announced it has received multiple gold and silver awards for the ChannelPro SMB Readers' Choice Awards. For the fourth consecutive year, ConnectWise won gold for Best PSA Vendor, as well as gold for Best Quoting Vendor for the second year in a row. The company also won gold for Best RMM and silver in the Best Managed Security Service Provider and Best Documentation Vendor categories.
"Any award voted on by the readers is always a privilege because they are the ones actively involved in the channel, utilizing our products and services to achieve their most ambitious vision of success for themselves and their clients," said Jason Magee, CEO, ConnectWise. "It is a tremendous honor to be named the Best PSA vendor for the fourth consecutive year, Best Quoting Vendor for the second consecutive year, as well as best RMM Vendor. Winning silver in Best Managed Security Service Provider and Best Documentation Vendor is also very thrilling news, particularly given our relatively recent entry into this space. We are grateful for the recognition and proud we have made an impact in such a short time. We are excited to continue moving upward in those rankings."
Readers of ChannelPro magazine and the ChannelPro Network were invited to participate in the IT channel's only SMB-focused Readers' Choice Awards by casting their votes via the publication's website for the vendors, distributors and professional organizations with the most SMB- and partner-friendly solutions, services or programs in the channel today. For each of the 50 categories, readers were asked to select the option that best satisfies the unique business requirements, work styles and budgets of their small and mid-size business clients, as well as those that best serve their own partner organizations.
The multiple-choice survey, which provided space for write-in responses, was fielded from March 18 to May 20, 2021, and drew 539 votes from channel VARs, managed service providers (MSPs), integrators, system builders and IT consultants. Gold, Silver and Bronze winners are named in each category.
"Last year, it became more evident than ever how much our readers rely on partnerships with vendors, distributors and professional associations to help them stay competitive," said Michael Siggins, president and publisher, The ChannelPro Network. "Now with optimism on the rise, our readers give recognition to the brands they rely on most. These results give us a unique indicator of the most trusted brands that will power the channel in 2021 and beyond."
In other news, ConnectWise has announced that CRN has recognized Jason Magee, CEO, on its 2022 Top 100 Executives List in the Disruptors category. On this annual list, CRN acknowledges forward-thinking and innovative technology leaders like Magee who have proven their commitment and dedication to the channel through solution-provider-focused strategies and a willingness to take bold steps despite market unpredictability.
CRN's Top 100 Executives list shines a light on the executives who are shaking up the status quo, supporting channel partners and placing big bets on where the market is headed next. CRN commends these visionaries across four subcategories: the 25 Most Influential Executives, Top 25 Channel Sales Leaders, Top 25 Innovators and Top 25 Disruptors. Each subcategory has its own set of strengths that positively impact the IT channel.
Named CEO in 2019, Magee has spearheaded ConnectWise's transformation into a cybersecurity-focused company that helps managed service providers (MSPs) and TSPs deal with an ever-increasing threat landscape to better protect themselves and their customers. He has overseen the acquisitions of Continuum, Perch Security, StratoZen, Service Leadership Inc. and SmileBack, as well as cybersecurity initiatives such as the Certify training and development program and the MSP+ Cybersecurity Framework, the first framework of its kind for the MSP community. This marks Magee's second consecutive appearance on the CRN Top 100 Executives list.
"I'm incredibly fortunate to have a world-class team innovating and pushing the boundaries every day at ConnectWise; being named a 'Disruptor' is as much an honor to my fellow colleagues as it is to me," Magee said. "As ConnectWise's business continues to expand, we maintain our commitment to aid global TSPs in their growth and strive to deliver innovation that not only meets our partners where they are, but where the industry is going. Our goal is to ensure that our partners are well-equipped to deal with the ever-evolving landscape of cyberthreats and other industry challenges, and drive business efficiency around business automation, IT documentation, data management and cybersecurity."
Prior to becoming CEO, Magee served as president and COO of ConnectWise, overseeing corporate strategy, operations and procurement, as well as the product, customer success and IT Nation teams. As COO, Magee led the company's international expansion into the United Kingdom and Australia, as well as the launch of its EcoSystems business. Magee also oversaw several key acquisitions as COO, including ScreenConnect, now known as ConnectWise Control, and HTG Peer Groups, now known as IT Nation Evolve, as well as HashInclude, Sienna Group and an investment in Perch Security.
"Winning leaders embrace innovation while going all-in with partners in their commitment to accelerating business growth and digital transformation for their customers," said Blaine Raddon, CEO, The Channel Company. "Their exceptional vision, know-how and execution contributed significantly to the strength of their companies, partners, customers and the IT channel as a whole. Congratulations to all included on the CRN 2022 Top 100 Executives list for successfully bringing channel-focused innovation to the market, enabling new growth opportunities and producing one channel success story after another."
