Toshiba America Business Solutions' has announced its patented, QR-enabled eTAG (Encompass Tag & Assessment Generator) invention, which simplifies the often-tedious asset tag process, has won the international Bronze Stevie Award for Technical Innovation of the Year in the 2026 Stevie Awards for Technology Excellence.  

The Stevie Awards for Technology Excellence celebrate the remarkable accomplishments of individuals, teams and organizations shaping the future of technology across all industry sectors. More than 700 nominations from organizations of all sizes in 37 nations and territories were submitted this year for consideration in a wide range of tech-related categories.

"Toshiba's eTAG innovation streamlines print fleet management through intelligent remote registration and QR-enabled service requests, resulting in measurable time and cost savings," one Stevie Awards judge said. "The solution's user-friendly design and operational efficiency make it a valuable advancement in print management technology."

Real-Time Asset Management

Ushering print fleets online is now a breeze using eTAG, the industry's first and currently only mobile, remote, self-service printer registration technology. Toshiba's innovation works by intelligently cataloging every printer's make, model and location within organizations' print fleets while facilitating remote and QR-generated supply and service requests. Though recently introduced, eTAG is already enabled on thousands of devices and hundreds of Toshiba clients.
