Pulse Technology Promotes Paul Miceli to Director of Audiovisual Department
BTA member Pulse Technology has promoted Paul Miceli to the position of director of its audiovisual division.
In this role, Miceli will lead a division that has spun off from the managed services (IT) division and will promote two new service models — conference room as a service (CRaaS) and audiovisual as a service (AVaaS).
The concept changes AV from a commodity (“if it breaks, fix it or replace it”) to an ongoing monthly business model, introducing CRaaS and AVaaS modeled after the software as a service (SaaS) concept. Pulse Technology’s AV team works with clients that use conference rooms on an ongoing basis, managing their AV needs and providing hardware, software, service, labor and ongoing maintenance similar to what would happen under an MSP plan. Miceli plans to expand the number of CRaaS and AVaaS clients; their work includes indoor and outdoor venues.
Miceli, a 25-plus-year veteran of the 70-year, multigenerational family business, studied at the Illinois Institute of Technology, and holds a number of industry certifications, including Sharp, Lenovo and MSPA. In his spare time, Miceli races his Mustang on the road courses at the Autobahn and Gingerman. Miceli lives on a farm and raises Rocky Mountain horses.
"We're excited about the AV division spinning off on its own as a standalone department within our company, and Paul’s background, experience and knowledge makes him the ideal person to lead this growing division," said Vince Miceli, vice president of technology, Pulse Technology. "We look forward to our continued expansion in this growing area."
