BTA member Pulse Technology has announced that Jeremy Gerstenberg of Munster, Indiana, has been named director of IT managed services.

In this role, he will oversee the managed services (IT) programs for Pulse Technology's clients, as well as overseeing the internal IT for the company's Illinois and Indiana locations. Providing managed IT is a major — and growing — portion of the Pulse Technology business model.

Gerstenberg comes to Pulse Technology from Impact Networking, where he held positions including senior field network engineer, lead field network engineer and then district manager in both the Bolingbrook, Illinois, and Hammond, Indiana, locations. He has been in the IT field for more than 22 years.

Gestenberg earned his bachelor's degree from Indiana Wesleyan University in business information systems, as well as a degree in computer information technology.

He and his wife Carrie are parents to four children. Their oldest daughter, Emilie, is a competition dancer; their son Timothy competes in jiu jitsu, their daughter Karleigh is a member of her student council and excels in art studies; and their youngest daughter, Aubrie, is three years old.
