PFU America Inc. has announced the integration of its Scanner Access Now Easy (SANE) driver, designed specifically for Chromebooks into its RICOH fi Series document scanners.
The RICOH fi-8170, fi-800R, and fi-8040 are now "Works With Chromebook" certified, making them the first document scanners to drive innovation in digitization and enhance cloud collaboration on Chromebooks. ChromeOS offers unmatched security features, including a secure boot and automatic updates, to protect users from malware and ensure a safer digital ecosystem. The driver is designed to enable more robust collaboration on the highly secure ChromeOS for apps and commonly used software.
