NetSuite Unveils NetSuite Next

Oracle NetSuite has announced NetSuite Next. Designed to be collaborative, insightful, adaptive and trustworthy, NetSuite Next is the future of NetSuite. By building in powerful and practical AI capabilities, including embedded conversational intelligence, agentic workflows and natural language search capabilities, NetSuite Next handles repetitive and complex tasks so that businesses can achieve outcomes faster, more intuitively and with greater confidence.

"NetSuite Next puts AI to work for businesses by making it a natural extension of the way they already work," said Evan Goldberg, founder and executive vice president, Oracle NetSuite. "With the latest AI innovations built in, NetSuite Next can deliver powerful insights as well as autonomously complete repetitive and complex tasks, all with enterprise-level reliability. Every insight and action is rooted in data and governed by the existing roles, permissions and policies our customers depend on. It enables users to discover patterns in their business and engage with NetSuite in their own words, all while understanding an individual user's context, so it can deliver answers and actions that provide immediate value."

Core to the NetSuite Next user experience is Ask Oracle, a natural language assistant that enables users to search, navigate, analyze and act across the entire NetSuite dataset using their own words. It delivers context-aware answers, visualizations, interactive content and reasoning that explains the "how" and "why" behind every response and enables users to more easily collaborate with NetSuite. In addition, Ask Oracle acts across customizations and extensions built on the SuiteCloud Platform, including partner applications available in the SuiteCloud Developer Network, to provide a seamless experience and contextual insight across the suite.

Customers can switch to NetSuite Next with the press of a button, without having to migrate or disrupt existing customizations. Powered by Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) and grounded in a customer's data and existing controls, NetSuite Next combines a unified data model with explainable, auditable AI and the modern Redwood Design System. This foundation will allow NetSuite Next to become a natural extension of existing operations and ensure that every insight and action is trustworthy. It also enables NetSuite Next to help identify opportunities and risks before they become issues, understand individual users' roles and context, and handle both repetitive and complex tasks while allowing users to retain control.

NetSuite Next includes:

  • AI Canvas: A collaborative workspace embedded in NetSuite. AI Canvas enables users and teams to turn data into action helping them to analyze problems, brainstorm solutions and trigger agentic workflows all from a visual workspace.
  • Narrative summaries and insights: Automated explanations, available in record forms, reports and other pages across the suite. The narrative summaries and insights feature proactively surfaces correlations and trends from NetSuite's unified data model so users can spot opportunities and risks before they become issues.
  • Agentic workflows: Proactive, AI-driven workflows that can help automate complex tasks such as payment proposals, vendor selection, reconciliations and supply-chain operations. The new agentic workflows give users the choice to approve key decisions or allow agents to act autonomously.
  • Document and knowledge integration: Large language models extract and validate information from a wide range of sources, including invoices, contracts, receipts, PDFs, policy manuals, training guides, customer testimonials and purchase orders. This reduces manual work and improves the accuracy of insights by enabling NetSuite to read, interpret and act on that knowledge, turning isolated documents into actionable workflows.

Availability

NetSuite Next will be available initially for customers in North America within the next 12 months.

In other news, Oracle NetSuite has announced the next generation of the NetSuite SuiteCloud Platform, an extensibility and customization environment that enables organizations to adapt NetSuite to their unique business needs. Built on NetSuite's unified data model and open standards, SuiteCloud now enables customers, partners and developers to integrate leading AI models, design custom AI agents and compose AI-driven workflows and experiences across NetSuite.

"It has always been important to me that NetSuite is flexible and adaptable so that our customers can support their unique and ever-changing business needs," Goldberg said. "Today, we are taking that flexibility and adaptability to a new level. The new capabilities in SuiteCloud will help our customers and partners transform how AI works for business by giving them the ability to quickly and easily build AI agents, connect external AI assistants, and orchestrate AI processes."

New open and composable capabilities in SuiteCloud bring AI directly into how businesses customize and extend NetSuite. The new capabilities will enable customers and partners to integrate leading AI models, create AI agents, embed AI services, increase developer and admin productivity, and tailor AI capabilities and services in NetSuite. In NetSuite Next, Ask Oracle will understand the context of customizations and extensions, and provide insights that reflect those unique aspects of a business. The new capabilities include:

  • AI Connector Service: Enables organizations to select the AI models that best fit their business needs, define the data they can access and govern how the models interact with NetSuite. Built on open standards, including the Model Context Protocol (MCP), the new AI Connector Service provides a secure way to connect NetSuite with external AI assistants and agent platforms and includes Standard and Custom MCP tools. To help align outputs with a customer's policies, standards and language, NetSuite plans to introduce Custom MCP prompts that will enable administrators to design prompts that guide external assistants on how to respond.
  • SuiteAgent frameworks: Will enable customers, partners and developers to build, integrate and deploy SuiteAgents directly on the SuiteCloud Platform. SuiteAgents developed using the new SuiteAgent frameworks in the SuiteCloud Development Framework (SDF) can leverage NetSuite AI toolkits and services to help businesses achieve outcomes faster, more intuitively and with greater confidence. SuiteAgents will be supported by NetSuite Next's new agentic workflow experiences, which will enable users to monitor agent progress, review results and intervene when needed.
  • AI Toolkits: Will enable developers to eliminate the need for separate AI infrastructure and make AI a composable part of every extension built on SuiteCloud. The new AI toolkits will include a collection of APIs that expose NetSuite's own AI services, including services for document analysis, reasoning and narrative reporting, for direct use in SuiteApps, workflows and customizations. Customers have access to Document AI APIs, with Narrative Insights AI and Knowledge AI APIs planned for future availability.
  • AI Assistants: Will help developers, administrators and power users increase productivity. The new AI assistants will include SuiteCloud Developer Assistant, an AI-powered coding companion that will accelerate coding, documentation, customization, and testing by reducing time spent on repetitive tasks and SuiteFlow Assistant, an AI-powered assistant that will help admins and power users design and refine workflows using natural language in NetSuite Next.
  • AI Studios: Help administrators and business users define, tune and manage how AI operates inside NetSuite. The AI Studios enable customers to adapt the AI capabilities in NetSuite to their unique industry requirements and business processes by giving customers direct control over AI reasoning, outputs, and interactions. The new AI Studios include Prompt Studio, which lets teams design, test, and preview prompts to see how AI will respond before deployment, and Narrative Insight Studio, which will enable users to control how summaries, explanations and insights are generated.

For SuiteCloud Developer Network partners, the new SuiteCloud capabilities and partner program updates, create opportunities to embed business and industry-specific AI directly into their solutions and drive new revenue. With AI Toolkits, the new SuiteAgents Framework and AI Studios, partners can natively build intelligent workflows, automate specialized processes and fine-tune AI services for their markets inside NetSuite. In addition, the AI Connector Service enables partners to integrate AI models and platforms to create more powerful, differentiated SuiteApps for customers.
