HP Names Gianluca Pettiti to Board of Directors
HP Inc. has announced the appointment of Gianluca Pettiti to its board of directors. Pettiti is executive vice president and president of life sciences, diagnostics and applied for Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc., a global life sciences company. His appointment is effective immediately.

Pettiti's leadership at Thermo Fisher, along with his passion for technology and innovation, have been instrumental supporting the growth of the company over the last two decades. Thermo Fisher today is globally recognized as the world leader in serving science, a trusted partner for its many customers and one of the world's most admired companies. Pettiti is deeply committed to advancing the applications of technology across the industry and serves as a board member at the Italian Institute of Technology, a leading research institute in robotics and AI.

Pettiti holds a Master of Science in engineering from Politecnico di Torino, which recognized him as an Alumnus Testimonial in 2017 for his contributions to innovation. He has also authored several influential articles on AI and digital transformation in health care.
In other news, HP Inc. has announced a definitive agreement to acquire key AI capabilities from Humane, including its AI-powered platform Cosmos, highly skilled technical talent and intellectual property, with more than 300 patents and patent applications. The acquisition advances HP's transformation into a more experience-led company.

"Humane's AI platform Cosmos, backed by an incredible group of engineers, will help us create an intelligent ecosystem across all HP devices from AI PCs to smart printers and connected conference rooms. This will unlock new levels of functionality for our customers and deliver on the promises of AI."
The acquisition brings a highly skilled group of Humane engineers, architects and product innovators to HP's technology and innovation organization. They will form HP IQ, HP's new AI innovation lab focused on building an intelligent ecosystem across HP's products and services for the future of work.
