Fujifilm's Apeos C7070 Series Registered as EPEAT Gold
FUJIFILM Business Innovation has announced that 12 products under six models of its A3 digital color MFP, the Apeos C7070 series, sold in the U.S. market, have been registered as EPEAT Gold in the international product environmental certification program EPEAT, demonstrating advanced environmental performance.
EPEAT is the premier global ecolabel for electronics and technology products operated by the Global Electronics Council, a nonprofit organization headquartered in the United States. It is referenced by companies, schools, hospitals, government agencies and other institutions around the world as a selection criterion for sustainable electronic products. This program evaluates not only the environmental performance of the products, but the social responsibility (CSR) and environmental initiatives of the companies. EPEAT has comprehensive environmental criteria including measures to address climate change, promote resource circulation and manage chemicals. Products are verified by independent third-party organizations based on these criteria, and those pass the review are identified as either Gold, Silver or Bronze on EPEAT Registry. Among the three tiers, EPEAT Gold is considered an important indicator for selecting environmentally conscious products that demonstrate advanced environmental initiatives by both the product and the company.
Registration with EPEAT Gold represents the company's commitment to actively addressing environmental issues such as climate change and promoting resource recycling. It also supports the green procurement and purchase in the United States and North America, and ESG requirements that serve as indicators for investors to assess corporate sustainability and risk management, thereby ensuring transparency in information disclosure.
Under the Fujifilm Group's CSR plan, "Sustainable Value Plan 2030 (SVP2030)," FUJIFILM Business Innovation will continue aiming to contribute to the realization of a sustainable society through the development and provision of products and services that help solve social issues, such as responding to climate change and promoting resource circulation.
