ConnectWise Appoints Rik Thorbecke as CFO

ConnectWise has announced the appointment of Rik Thorbecke as its new chief financial officer (CFO), effective May 13, 2024. He brings a wealth of experience a expertise to his new position, where he will be reporting directly to Jason Magee, CEO of ConnectWise, and playing a pivotal role in shaping the company's financial strategy and success.

With a distinguished career spanning various industries, Thorbecke has demonstrated his leadership abilities as a CFO, COO and advisory board member. His broad global experience includes working in the software, SaaS, internet, cloud, telecommunications and electronic manufacturing sectors. Thorbecke is highly skilled in strategic finance, mergers and acquisitions, IPO readiness, business planning, investor relations and enterprise software. He is known for his business-development acumen and customer-oriented approach.

In other news, ConnectWise has announced that CRN has named four ConnectWise channel leaders to the Women of the Channel list for 2024.

Andrea Barrow, manager of the Invent Program and partners: For more than 14 years, Barrow has been an instrumental part of the ConnectWise team, fostering relationships with key vendors and expertly managing the ConnectWise Invent program, from integration readiness to visibility, marketing and sales.

Victoria Bruns, principal product marketing manager for ecosystem: Bruns is an energetic and highly motivated channel leader who has excelled at encouraging the adoption of key initiatives like the ConnectWise eCommerce Marketplace and Invent integration program.

Maddie Metheny, director of revenue marketing: Since joining ConnectWise in 2018, Metheny has consistently empowered ConnectWise partners to grow their businesses through strategic go-to-market strategy creation, lead generation and sales enablement.

Kaela Vanden Berg, vice president of experiential marketing: With more than 13 years of experience, Vanden Berg is a successful channel leader with a proven track record of driving strategic growth in MSP communities through the creation of compelling brand identities.
