A&B Business Solutions Announces Acquisition of Far From Normal
BTA member A&B Business Solutions (A&B) has announced the successful acquisition of Far From Normal (FFN), a production graphic-arts hardware and supply dealership headquartered in Fargo, North Dakota. This strategic move marks a significant expansion for A&B and reinforces FFN's commitment to delivering first-class hardware and supplies across the northern plains, Midwest and lower plains states, including expanded market access in the Wichita, Kansas, area.
Founded 32 years ago in a small garage in Moorhead, Minnesota, FFN has grown from a side project into a regional powerhouse with four major warehouses across four states, serving more than 10,000 customers and offering more than 35,000 products. FFN specializes in sign supplies in thousands of sizes, grades and colors, featuring top brands such as 3M, Arlon, Nekoosa, Orafol, Roland and General Formulations. In addition, FFN provides a vast selection of ready-made graphics, adhesives, sealers and frames.
FFN has earned a reputation as one of the most respected dealers of production print equipment, including vinyl cutters, heat presses, laminators and large-format printers. With more than 25 years of experience supporting Roland technology, FFN is widely recognized as a trusted, go-to dealer for expertise, equipment and service throughout the region.
"A&B Business Solutions shares our values and commitment to customer service," said Dan Huggins, president, FFN. "This partnership provides new opportunities while preserving what has made Far From Normal successful. Our customers and employees can expect the same quality, service and relationships they've relied on for decades."
A&B Business Solutions, founded in 1981 and acquired by the Aanenson family in 1993, has grown to 14 locations across six states. A&B is recognized as a regional leader in digital copier/MFPs and printers, managed print services, IT security and support, office furniture and supplies, purified water and coffee products, production print services, marketing services and professional development programs. The company partners with leading manufacturers such as Ricoh, Toshiba, HP, Brother, Colex, Duplo, Formax and Roland.
The Aanenson family's network of companies and financial entities continue to invest and mentor regional and industry leading businesses. The acquisition of FFN adds another dimension to its diverse portfolio.
"The collaboration between our companies will enhance our ability to provide comprehensive products and services," said Dennis Aanenson, owner, A&B Business Solutions and FFN. "We look forward to leveraging our expanded portfolio to benefit both existing and new customers."
